STUDENT CHAPTER FORMATION
Twenty-four student chapters are presently recognized by CMAA. The student chapter must be hosted by a Regional Chapter in order to be considered an official student chapter of CMAA. The student chapter formation process can be instituted by a college/university or by a Regional Chapter.
All members of student chapters must also be student members of CMAA National. In order to be CMAA National student member, students must maintain a full-time status, which is defined by CMAA as undergraduate students who complete 24 credit hours within the school year and as graduate students who complete 12 credit hours during the school year.
The Student Chapter Manual provides the necessary information and application materials for a college or university to form a student chapter. The Student Chapter Manual also includes the mandatory yearly reports required of all CMAA Student Chapters in reporting to their respective Host Regional Chapter.
The Application is reviewed by the Regional Chapter Committee and a host regional chapter is assigned by staff. The Regional Chapter will provide the primary interface with the student chapter. Contact Martha Montague (336-492-6028) for information and details on the application process.
