CMAA Coalitions, Relationships and Memberships
Americans for Transportation Mobility (ATM) is a national coalition of transportation users and providers led by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce that is working to ensure that our nation's transportation infrastructure is improved and that transportation is made more safe and efficient.
ATM's mission is to educate the public, elected officials, and other opinion leaders about the value of transportation to the nation's economy and quality of life. During the 108th Congress, ATM will be working to promote investment in infrastructure and fight to streamline the burdensome approval process that significantly delays and even prevents critical transportation safety improvements.
The Alliance for Energy & Economic Growth is a broad-based coalition whose members develop, deliver, or consume energy from all sources. With more than 1,200 members, the Alliance is seeking to build a national consensus for a comprehensive U.S. energy strategy that balances supply and demand without compromising environmental safeguards, so that we can fuel America’s dynamic economy and support our quality of life.
The Clean Water Council (CWC) is a construction industry-based coalition that takes a lead role toward passage water infrastructure legislation. Chaired by the National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA), the CWC is a group of national construction contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, engineers and other associations dedicated to water infrastructure funding.
The CWC works on all levels of the legislative process to promote water infrastructure funding, including the budget, reauthorization, and annual appropriations processes.
The Fair Competition Coalition is a broad-based national coalition of key industry groups formed to champion a process stressing that the federal government compete its commercial activities in a manner that is fair, based on generally accepted cost accounting principles, and results in meaningful savings to and streamlining of the federal government.
The Infrastructure Security Partnership (TISP) acts as a national asset facilitating dialogue on domestic infrastructure security and offering sources of technical support and sources for comment on public policy related to the security of the nation's built environment. The Partnership collaborates on issues related to the security of the nation's built environment and leverage members' collective technical expertise and research and development capabilities. It is a fundamental goal of the Partnership to reach and include all stakeholders potentially affected by any disaster and to provide technical assistance and information to the Department of Homeland Security.
National Waterways Alliance, administered by the National Waterways Conference, Inc., is a coalition of trade and regional associations, cooperatives, businesses and industries, ports, waterways services, and labor organizations that have an interest in national waterways policy issues.
The Water Infrastructure Network (WIN) is a broad-based coalition of local elected officials, drinking water and wastewater service providers, state environmental and health administrators, engineers and environmentalists dedicated to preserving and protecting the health, environmental and economic gains that America\'s drinking water and wastewater infrastructure provides.
The Coalition Supporting Access and Choice Through Association Health Plans represents over 12 million employers and 80 million workers in support of bipartisan legislation to strengthen and expand association health plans (AHPs). AHP legislation will provide workers employed in small businesses and self-employed with access to Fortune 500-style health benefits now enjoyed by workers in corporate and labor union health plans.
The Construction Industry Coalition Council (CICC) seeks areas of commonality among those in the construction profession by identifying the needs of its constituents, delivering and exchanging technical and business information, facilitating the development of and responsible application of new techniques and processes, and promoting quality in practice.
